Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and working closely with each location and entity. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.

  • This position will provide daily human resources support with exceptional customer service to Servtech, A Roeslein Company in Louisville, CO, and Method Flow Products, A Roeslein Company, in Evans, CO, and remote support to other domestic entities under Method Flow Products including North Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming.
  • Must support leaders and employees as a competent and reliable resource who consistently aligns with company culture and policies while possessing a solid HR foundation of knowledge including employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Responds timely and efficiently to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and employee issues. Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures; interpreting, explaining, and providing guidance on policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate and attend college recruiting fairs with strong skills in identifying well-qualified and diverse candidates while professionally representing company culture. Develop and maintain contact with colleges and other organizations for future hiring needs.
  • Update and maintain the Roeslein Employee Handbook for Colorado with newly implemented Colorado laws and correlate how the new law affects North Dakota, West Virginia, Texas, and Wyoming.
  • Review, revise, and create job descriptions for both Method Flow and Servtech.
  • Administer and support the yearly Vehicle Tax process.
  • Maintain organizational charts for both Method Flow Products and Servtech.
  • Post open positions, arrange interviews, track candidate background checks and drug screens, and create and distribute offer letters with accurate compensation packages timely. Track candidate flow with 100% accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist HR Manager with complex employee relations issues, counseling, investigations, and reporting.
  • Monitor the monthly performance evaluation program and reviews, as necessary.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the Roeslein benefit program and timely communication of all benefit changes for both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Complete employees stay interviews and exit interviews.
  • Assist in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of the department concerning established goals.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Assist and serve as the project manager with new system implementations.
  • Through ongoing and continued education, develop and maintain an essential understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices (Title VII, FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), ADA, Leaves of Absence, STD/LTD, FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), USERRA (Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act), WC, etc.)
  • Assists Human Resources Manager as needed.
  • Recommend innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations.
  • Conduct activities safely and healthily and work per established safety and company requirements.
  • Conduct new-employee orientations ensuring employees have the necessary information for a seamless on-boarding experience.
  • Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organizations goals.
  • Administer both post-accident and random quarterly required drug tests.
  • Process and track employee referral bonuses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skill / Ability / Education / Experience
  • A bachelors degree in human resources or a related field is required.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in a Generalist role is required.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with engineering, manufacturing, and/or oil and gas environments is strongly preferred.
  • The ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work is required.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems promptly.
  • Must be able to handle several tasks with confidence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
  • Strong computer skills and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs are required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in an office and in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures or short periods is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear.
