Executive Assistant
for a
CONTRACT/RIGHT TO HIRE
assignment with one of our premier
Regulatory
clients in
Washington, D.C.
Candidate must be in the DMV area.
This role is 100% Onsite in the DC office.
The Executive Assistant provides comprehensive and confidential administrative support to the Senior Vice President and Chief Hearing Officer, as well as support to the Vice President and Deputy Chief Hearing Officer of the Office of Hearing Officers (OHO). Support of the Senior VP and Chief Hearing Officer involves highly advanced technical or administrative work in which incumbents are expert in their assigned roles and working under limited supervision on business sensitive and confidential materials. This position requires the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant must be able to work under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
Responsibilities
:
Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the Senior Vice President and Chief Hearing Officer & Vice President and Deputy Chief Hearing Officer including: Managing calendar of appointments; completing and tracking expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence that is confidential. Arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; compiling and preparing materials for meetings. Communicates directly, and on behalf of the Senior Vice President, with Key stakeholders, industries members and others, on matters related to OHO's matters. Provides leadership to build relationships crucial to the success of the OHO department and manages a variety of special projects for the Senior Vice President, some of which may have departmental and organizational impact. Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting acknowledgement letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks that facilitate the Senior Vice President ability to effectively lead OHO. Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the Senior Vice President and internal departments; demonstrating leadership to maintain confidentiality, credibility, trust and support with senior management staff. Works closely and effectively with the Senior Vice President to keep her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Acts as a "barometer, " having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping the Senior Vice President updated. Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the Senior Vice President and Chief Hearing Officer, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action, or response. Provides other related administrative support as assigned. Must maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with a high level of discretion. Coordinates OHO's technical and administrative needs with responsible offices within the organization. Required
Skills :
Bachelor's degree required. Advanced experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Significant experience utilizing travel and expense systems such as Concur. Experience providing administrative or secretarial support at a senior level involving the high-level exercise of judgment.
Working Conditions:
Standard office working conditions. In office presence required. Some overtime may be required.
