Summary
Microsoft’s Responsible Business Practices (RBP) team, part of the Trusted Technology Group within Corporate External and Legal Affairs (CELA), is seeking a dynamic Communications & Project Specialist to support strategic communications, technical writing, and light data management. This role is pivotal in shaping how Microsoft communicates its commitment to responsible innovation, ethical business conduct, and human rights across global operations and supply chains. Summary
Microsoft’s Responsible Business Practices (RBP) team, part of the Trusted Technology Group within Corporate External and Legal Affairs (CELA), is seeking a dynamic Communications & Project Specialist to support strategic communications, technical writing, and light data management. This role is pivotal in shaping how Microsoft communicates its commitment to responsible innovation, ethical business conduct, and human rights across global operations and supply chains.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate cross-functional projects related to human rights and supply chain communications. Develop project plans, assess feasibility, and drive stakeholder collaboration. Support tool and process development across Microsoft platforms. Write, edit, and produce compelling content for reports, newsletters, SharePoint, and web platforms. Align messaging with Microsoft’s Responsible AI and sustainability initiatives. Document processes and procedures with clarity and precision. Collect and manage supply chain data to support transparency reports. Maintain structured, version-controlled historical data for audit readiness. Generate insights to inform strategy and enhance storytelling. Maintain and update SharePoint content for internal stakeholders. Design charts, graphs, and layouts using data visualization tools. Implement visual storytelling aligned with corporate branding.
Requirements
5–7 years in communications, technical writing, project coordination, and data management. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Design, or related field. PMI or PMP certification is a plus. Familiarity with human rights and supply chain subject matter is highly desirable. Proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable narratives. Experience managing reporting processes and stakeholder engagement.

Location: Redmond, WA (Hybrid;1-2 days/week onsite) Duration: 10 Months Pay Range: $38.50 - $44 per hour Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
