Job Summary:

The Human Resources Director is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources function across the organization. This includes strategic planning, recruitment and retention, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, training, and policy development. The HR Director acts as a strategic partner to executive leadership and ensures that HR initiatives support organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with overall business objectives. Advise executive leadership on HR best practices, workforce planning, and organizational development.

Talent Acquisition & Retention:

Oversee full-cycle recruitment including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation. Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and reduce turnover.

Employee Relations:

Provide guidance on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance issues. Ensure a consistent and legally compliant approach to employee relations.

Compensation & Benefits:

Administer compensation programs and ensure internal equity and market competitiveness. Oversee benefits enrollment, open enrollment, and employee communications.

Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC). Maintain personnel records in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

Training & Development:

Develop training programs to support staff development, compliance, and leadership growth. Oversee mandatory training initiatives and continuing education requirements.

Policy & Procedure Management:

Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and employee handbooks. Communicate policies clearly to staff and provide ongoing support to management.

HRIS & Reporting:

Manage HRIS systems and ensure data integrity and timely reporting. Generate regular HR metrics and reports for senior management review.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or 2+ Years of HR/Payroll experience required. HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or multi-site operations is a plus.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Paycor, ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

Office environment with regular travel to facility sites as needed. Occasional extended hours to meet operational deadlines.
