Position Overview:
Provide comprehensive care across multiple MS/Tele units in a fast-paced hospital environment. This float pool position requires adaptability to different units while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage 5–6 patients with acute/chronic conditions (cardiac, respiratory, post-surgical, renal).
Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
Administer medications (including heparin protocols, cardiac drips).
Perform wound care, trach care, chest tube management.
Float to ER holding and other MS/Tele units as needed.
Requirements:
Licensure: Active Maryland or Compact RN license (required at submission).
Certifications:
Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI.
Experience: 2+ years MS/Tele experience (float experience preferred).
Travel experience required.
Proficiency with Epic charting (preferred).
Skills:
Strong phlebotomy, IV therapy, and PICC line management.
Experience with ventilated patients, titrating drips, rapid response.
Unit Details:
Patient Ratio: 1:5 (all shifts).
Patient Population: Adults & geriatrics (cardiac, post-op, neuro, renal).
Floating: Required across all MS/Tele units (including ER holding).
