Travel Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist - Polysomnography

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Polysomnographer/Sleep Technologist with at least 2 years of clinical sleep medicine experience for a 13-week night shift contract.Job Details•Work in a pediatric sleep lab setting,•Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM,•Patient population is pediatric,•Responsible for conducting and scoring polysomnographic studies using a variety of sleep medicine equipment,•Candidates may float within their clinical scope if needed,•Epic EMR experience is preferred,Job Requirements•Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in sleep medicine as a recording and scoring polysomnographic technologist,•Experience troubleshooting and correcting recording artifacts using various sleep medicine equipment,•Current RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) certification required,•Current AHA BLS certification required,•Virginia state licensure as a Polysomnographic Technologist required if applicable,•Diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited school (ACEN or CCNE accepted),•Epic charting experience preferred,•At least 12 months of experience in this position required,•Must not have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months,Additional Information•Conduct and score sleep studies, monitor patients and equipment, and troubleshoot sleep study artifacts,•Complete facility-specific modules during orientation (approximately 6 hours),•Team environment with unit manager oversight; manager will conduct interviews,•Facility is a drug, tobacco, and smoke-free workplace,•Natural nail policy in effect,•Holiday coverage may be required and is not guaranteed off,•Return staff must be gone for at least one year prior to eligibility,•Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers,•Fingerprinting and background checks required with no allowance to start while pending,•Must not work over 40 hours per week unless approved by the unit manager,],•hash,:•4383201743177017864,
