Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - CVORT FA

American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist First Assist with strong cardiovascular and endoscopic vein harvesting experience for a CVOR travel assignment.Job Details•Position based in a hospital Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR),•Schedule is four 10-hour evening shifts per week, 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with Wednesdays off,•On-call required one weekend per month from Saturday 0600 to Monday 0600 and 1-2 weekdays per week,•May float to Main OR if there are no CVOR cases,•Handles cases such as CABG, valve surgeries, EVH, robotic lungs, vascular cases, AAA, ECMO,•Expected to use and manage equipment including IABP, LVAD/Impella, cardioversion/defibrillation, and ECMO,•Hunter green scrubs are required,Job Requirements•Minimum of 1 year experience as a Surgical Technologist First Assist,•Must have cardiac surgery, endoscopic vein harvesting, vascular, and robotic surgery experience,•BLS and CSFA certifications required,•Experience with IABP, cardioversion/defibrillation, LVAD/Impella, and ECMO required,•COVID vaccination required,•License required if applicable,•Must provide two references for consideration,•Candidates must have a permanent address at least 75 miles from the facility for eligibility for travel pay rates,•Must not have worked at the facility within the previous year,Additional Information•Assist cardiovascular surgeons during complex procedures including open heart and vascular surgeries,•Responsible for vein harvesting, managing surgical instrumentation, and assisting with robotic and endovascular cases,•Participate in emergency interventions and operate specialized cardiac equipment,•May be required to adapt to variable workflow and assist other OR teams as needed,•Orientation is offered every other week,•Call coverage includes evenings and weekends,•Professional appearance in hunter green scrubs is mandatory
