Senior Cnc Machinist
A growing precision manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Senior Machinist to lead high-tolerance machining operations in a fast-paced environment supporting aerospace, medical, and industrial components. This role involves advanced programming, setup, and operation of Swiss-style CNC lathes, multi-axis turning centers, and high-volume screw machines. Key responsibilities include: Program, set up, and operate Swiss-style CNC lathes and multi-tasking turning centers for complex parts with tight tolerances. Operate multi-axis machines with live tooling and Y-axis control to perform turning, milling, threading, and sub-spindle operations in a single setup. Set up and run multi-spindle screw machines for high-volume production, utilizing attachments for threading, knurling, cross-drilling, and flat-generating. Perform deep-hole drilling, thread milling, and secondary operations such as tapping, knurling, and deburring. Inspect and verify part quality using SPC systems, CMMs, and precision gauges. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to refine processes and improve throughput. Mentor junior machinists and support continuous improvement efforts across the shop floor. Qualifications include: 5+ years of experience in CNC machining, including Swiss-style and multi-spindle equipment. Strong programming skills and deep knowledge of tooling and machine setups. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and inspecting precision parts to tight tolerances. Experience in high-mix, low-volume or high-volume production environments. Familiarity with ISO and industry quality standards. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
