This internship is full-time during the Summer of 2026 with the potential to work part-time during the academic year. The hourly rate for this internship is $22.00 with paid company holidays. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the Milwaukee office. Power Operations is responsible for day-ahead and real-time electric trading operations for WEC's utility and non-utility projects in wholesale electric markets. The group works to optimize electric load forecasting, generation cost and availability, environmental testing, and load management programs to mitigate risk and promote favorable financial outcomes while reliably serving load. Job Responsibilities
Analyze Power Purchase Agreements and Renewable Energy Credit transactions for wind and solar projects Analyze and support improvements to energy offer strategies for power generation sales into wholesale electric markets Review cost parameters for electric generators to improve operating cost forecasting Learn about market integration of new battery projects Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or HSED Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, and other related majors with a graduation date after June 2026 Minimum GPA of 2.8 Preferred Qualifications
