Director of Business Development – Hospice

for a leading provider of hospice care. This role combines in-office responsibilities with extensive fieldwork across the assigned territory. The Director will lead a team of Hospice Sales Consultants, supporting business growth through ride-alongs, branch visits, and client relationship development. If you are an experienced sales leader with a passion for hospice care, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support a team of Hospice Sales Consultants to achieve sales goals and quotas. Participate in ride-alongs and client meetings to observe interactions, provide coaching, and strengthen client relationships. Conduct regular branch visits to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and address operational needs. Build and maintain strong relationships with key referral sources and healthcare partners. Collaborate with the Executive Director to set departmental goals, implement strategies, and evaluate results. Oversee training for team members on the referral, intake, and admissions process. Maintain professional and clinical competence within the hospice industry. Analyze sales data and account activity to identify business trends and develop territory growth plans. Partner with the Regional Vice President to execute strategies that enhance market reputation and drive business growth. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field preferred. Proven experience in hospice, home health, healthcare sales, or community development. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a sales team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of referral patterns and healthcare networks within the service area. Experience developing and delivering educational in-services to clients and referral sources. Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout Montgomery County, MD and Washington, DC.
