U.S. Environmental & Engineering Services Division .

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Montrose Environmental Group is seeking a dynamic and visionary Senior Vice President (SVP) of U.S. Environmental & Engineering Services (EES) to lead a diverse and growing portfolio of environmental consulting and engineering teams across the United States. This executive will be responsible for setting and executing the divisions strategic direction, driving operational excellence, delivering client value, and achieving financial performance across a $150M+ division.

The EES division comprises over 600 professionals across 15+ acquired businesses, and continues to grow through both organic initiatives and strategic acquisitions. This role is pivotal in unifying those teams under a shared vision while honoring their technical diversityfrom turnkey remediation services to complex permitting and compliance projects.

As a key member of the MEG Consulting Segment Senior Leadership Team, the SVP will bring thought leadership, operational rigor, and a client-first mindset to advance MEGs position as a leader in environmental and engineering services.

This position can be based remotely in the U.S. and will require a willingness to travel regularly (to visit with teams and clients in particular).

This role is expected to deliver:

Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute a national growth strategy aligned with MEGs corporate goals and consulting segment priorities. Identify emerging trends, regulatory shifts, and service innovations to capture new market opportunities. Champion cross-functional and cross-business collaboration to foster integration, scalability, and a unified service experience. Influence national marketing, branding, and go-to-market strategies in coordination with executive leadership.

Operational Excellence

Oversee project delivery, ensuring consistent standards for safety, quality, compliance, and client satisfaction. Implement data-driven processes to improve scheduling, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and performance measurement. Standardize and scale operational best practices across acquired and organic businesses. Lead nationwide initiatives to streamline pricing, proposal development, and technical execution models.

P&L and Financial Leadership

Own full P&L accountability for the EES division, including revenue growth, gross margin, and EBITDA performance. Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment prioritization. Monitor financial performance with agility and initiate course-correcting actions as needed.

Talent Strategy & Organizational Development

Drive workforce planning, staff utilization, and succession strategies across technical and leadership levels. Attract, develop, and retain high-performing talent in engineering, project management, and consulting roles. Mentor a distributed team of VPs, office leaders, and technical experts, fostering a high-performance and values-aligned culture.

Client & Partner Engagement

Build and maintain strong executive relationships with strategic clients, industry stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. Serve as an executive sponsor for major accounts and pursuits, providing leadership in contract strategy and client positioning. Represent MEG at national industry events, conferences, and forums.

Your Expertise And Skills

Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Business, or related field (Masters preferred). 15+ years of progressive leadership in environmental or engineering services, including 5+ years at the senior executive level. Proven track record managing large-scale operations, with $150M+ P&L oversight across multiple geographies. Deep understanding of U.S. environmental regulations and consulting market dynamics; knowledge of Canadian or Australian frameworks a plus. Demonstrated expertise in leading through change, integrating acquired businesses, and scaling operations in complex, matrixed environments. Exceptional leadership, business acumen, negotiation, and communication skills.
