Energy practice , is seeking a talented

Oil & Gas Transactional Associate Attorney to join its

Houston

office. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level associate to gain hands-on experience in complex transactions across the traditional energy sector, with the ability to work on both established oil and gas matters and innovative energy transition projects.

Candidate Profile

JD

from a

top-tier law school

with a

strong academic record (link removed)> Active Bar Admission in Texas , in good standing.

Candidates relocating to Houston and willing to

gain admission

within the first year of employment

are also welcome to apply.

4+ years

of substantive experience in

energy-related corporate transactions (link removed)> Background in

one or more

of the following within the

upstream and midstream

oil and gas sectors :

Mergers and

acquisitions

(M&A), divestitures ,

joint ventures ,

development agreements ,

operating agreements , and/or

commercial contracts (link removed)>

Experience

drafting

and

negotiating gathering ,

transportation ,

processing ,

supply , and

offtake agreements

related to

carbon capture

and

energy transition projects

is

highly valued

Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills; business-oriented approach to client service; and ability to manage complex matters within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Advise clients on

transactional

matters in the

energy industry , including

upstream

and

midstream oil and gas , as well as

emerging energy transition projects (link removed)> Draft ,

review , and

negotiate

a wide range of agreements, including gathering, transportation, processing, supply, offtake, joint venture, and operating agreements.

Support clients on

M&A transactions
,

divestitures , and

project development

initiatives.

Provide strategic legal advice tailored to client business objectives and regulatory considerations.

Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to provide integrated solutions to energy clients.

Engage with clients directly, building long-term relationships through clear communication and practical, business-focused legal counsel.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Compensation:

Annual base salary is expected to start at

$310,000+ , depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors.

Discretionary

bonus

opportunities are also available.
