Oil Gas Revenue Accountant (716007)

Manage revenue accounting functions, including check issuance and distribution for oil and gas proceeds and verification of accuracy of revenue accounting transactions each month with understanding of accounting principles, financial practices, and regulatory processes. Prepare and file timely and accurate royalty and reports in compliance with federal (Office of Natural Resources Revenue), state, and tribal regulations. Record monthly oil and gas revenue accruals using general accounting systems such as SAP, QuickBooks, and Excel. Support for revenue-related audits, ad hoc reporting, and special projects. Conduct monthly reconciliation of revenue-related general ledger accounts, including oil and gas receivables, royalty payables, and federal/state/tribal payables. Maintain revenue contract data in the accounting system and assist with updates. Verify the accuracy of revenue accounting transactions each month. Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding revenue related matters, including those from royalty owners, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Assist with JOA (Joint Operating Agreement) audit processes and communications. Assist with internal and external audits related to revenue and joint venture operations. Assist in preparing dashboards and recurring reports using Excel or visualization tools.
