We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and adaptable Nurse Practitioners (NP) or Physician Assistants (PA) ready to take the next step in their professional journey.

Position Summary
This 9-month paid residency provides immersive, hands-on training in Hematology/Oncology alongside experienced physicians and APP preceptors. The program is ideal for recent graduates but may also consider experienced providers passionate about oncology.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- National board certification in your discipline
- Eligible for Arizona licensure
Program Overview
The APP Hematology/Oncology Residency at Onvida Health is a 9-month immersive training program designed to prepare Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for specialized practice in oncology care. The program follows a 40-hour workweek, including 36 hours of supervised clinical practice and 4 hours of didactic learning. Residents will participate in structured clinical rotations with a progressive increase in autonomy. At least 50% of the residency is focused on Hematology and Medical Oncology, with core rotations and educational experiences in: Radiation and Surgical Oncology, Palliative Care, Lung Nodule Clinic, and research. Weekly didactic sessions include simulations, lectures, tumor boards, and integrated physician-led education. Our program integrates Quality Improvement / Evidence-Based Practice projects with mentorship, peer support, and wellness to foster professional growth and well-being. There is no tuition for the program , and it will be eligible for accreditation through APPFA following the completion of the first cohort.

- $1,000 CME allowance
