QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License Required
- ServSafe certification or Management Certification required
- Possess good habits, character and attendance records
- Be neat and clean in appearance
- Ability to work alone and within a group to complete tasks
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions
- Ability to read instructions and follow verbal and written directions
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with students, parents, and staff in a professional manner
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop and squat as part of daily job duties
- Ability to work outside and in inclement weather conditions
- Prior work experience in a school district Food Service environment preferred
- Maintain and clean the kitchen area and food preparation areas at assigned location
- Assist with coordinating each meal preparation and counter service
- Assume responsibility to assist with food preparation
- Ability to follow a recipe
- Ensure that safe food handling techniques and methods are maintained during the food preparation and service
- Responsible for the general sanitation and maintenance of a clean and safe food production area by assigning duties to others assigned to the workplace
- Assist in the general cleaning of the food service area(s) which includes sweeping, mopping and removing trash as needed
- Enforce cleanliness and sanitation in the food service operation in compliance with local health and sanitation laws
