**Quality Assurance Supervisor**
The Quality Assurance Assistant works closely with the QA Manager to ensure the company meets all internal, regulatory, and customer requirements. This role is responsible for supporting the department's compliance efforts, assisting with audits, and collaborating with production teams to maintain high standards of food safety and product quality.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ **Audits & Compliance:** Assist with all food safety and regulatory audits, including preparation, on-site support for inspectors, and managing follow-ups for any non-conformances. Ensure timely and accurate responses are provided to customers and auditors after approval from the QA Manager.
+ **Quality System Management:** Monitor, maintain, and review key quality programs such as HACCP, Preventive Controls (PC), and GMP to ensure they comply with current FSMA/BRC and GFSI standards. Assist in reviewing and improving the Quality Management System, Food Safety, and Food Defense manuals annually.
+ **Team & Process Support:** Ensure that all required quality and regulatory training is completed and maintained. Work directly with QA Forepersons and Leads to verify that departmental programs and procedures are being followed correctly on the production floor. Learn and become proficient in all company processes to effectively support quality assurance initiatives.
+ **Customer & Project Management:** Maintain and manage all customer portals and sites (e.g., Tracegains, Share-iFY, Azzule) to ensure full compliance. Under the QA Manager's direction, respond to customer and consumer questions, technical inquiries, and general document requests. Assist with special projects as needed.
**Requirements & Preferences:**
+ **Food industry experience required**
+ **BRC audit** experience and **client audits** (e.g., **Costco** , **Walmart** )
+ Knowledge of **food safety compliance** and **regulatory standards**
+ **Degree in Food Science** preferred, but not required with **strong industry experience**
+ Assist with food safety compliance, internal/external audits, and ensure audit readiness at all times (BRC, regulatory, and client-specific audits such as Costco and Walmart).
+ Support audit preparation, accompany inspectors and auditors, and assist with or complete follow-up reports and responses to non-conformances.
+ Participate actively during and after audits, working closely with the QA Manager to coordinate corrective actions and next steps.
+ Maintain and improve HACCP/PC, GMP, air and water quality monitoring programs to ensure compliance with FSMA/BRC standards.
+ Conduct internal audits and annual program reviews
+ Manage and maintain customer portals and compliance
+ Support QA Manager with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

**Pay Details:** $85,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
