Full-Time A well-established food manufacturing facility is seeking a
Lead FSQ Supervisor
to oversee food safety and quality programs. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance, managing a team of quality technicians, and ensuring consistent product quality in a high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and develop quality assurance staff across multiple shifts. Manage and enforce food safety programs including HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, FSMA, and SQF. Lead external and internal audits (regulatory, customer, third-party). Ensure all documentation related to testing, monitoring, and compliance is complete and audit-ready. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sanitation, and other departments to support quality initiatives and continuous improvement. Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions related to non-conformances. Maintain environmental monitoring and allergen control programs. Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelors degree in Food Science or related field (preferred). 510 years of progressive experience in food safety and quality assurance. Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing QA/QC or lab environment. Extensive knowledge of food safety systems and regulatory requirements (HACCP, FSMA, GMPs, SQF, SSOPs). Strong audit preparation and execution skills. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Certifications and Experience:
HACCP, PCQI, or SQF Practitioner certification. Background in cheese, dairy, or cultured foods manufacturing. Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in production and office environments. Standing or walking for extended periods. Occasional lifting, bending, or reaching. Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary:
$85,000 annually Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k), and paid time off
