A middle school in Saginaw, MI is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to support students throughout the academic year on a contract basis. This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by addressing the social, emotional, and academic needs of students in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments to identify students' strengths and needs
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
Provide counseling and support services to students facing behavioral or emotional challenges
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision-making
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust plans as necessary
Promote a positive school climate through consultation and advocacy
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
Strong knowledge of psychological testing and assessment tools commonly used in schools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Familiarity with special education laws and regulations
