As a vital member of our Produce team, you will play a key role in creating an inviting shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for receiving and preparing products, maintaining attractive displays, and directly engaging with customers to enhance their shopping experience while adhering to Whole Foods Market standards.
In this role, you will:
Ensure our displays remain fresh and appealing by keeping cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, front-facing, and properly rotated to minimize waste.
Assist the Team Leader in organizing and showcasing seasonal items.
Monitor product quality to prevent spoilage and communicate any waste concerns effectively.
Complete required worksheets for spoilage, temperature checks, and inventory.
Arrive on time, properly groomed and dressed, ready to work all scheduled shifts and participate in required training sessions.
Provide outstanding customer service, addressing customer needs promptly and effectively while employing suggestive selling techniques.
Maximize sales potential through correct preparation, storage, rotation, and merchandising of products.
Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment, ensuring all equipment meets our cleanliness and safety standards.
Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensuring accuracy in pricing and signage.
Immediately report any safety hazards or violations.
Carry out additional duties as assigned by store leadership.

No prior retail experience is required, but a strong interest in fresh produce is a plus!
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Capable of standing or walking for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour work shift.
Ability to perform various motions including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Competence using tools and equipment, including knives and electric pallet jacks.
May require the use of ladders.
The wage range for this role is $15.00-$24.40 hourly, based on experience. Whole Foods Market offers a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, employee discounts, and paid time off. Eligibility for benefits is determined upon hire.
