Position Overview:
The radiologic technologist specializes in assisting with invasive cardiac procedures and other procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Performs a variety of technical procedures by applying principals of radiation protection and ALARA that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required, including specialized areas such as Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology. The radiologic technologist is a professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for patients, assists the Physician in performing cardiac catheterizations and other interventional procedures by monitoring equipment, passing instruments, observing patient response to the procedure, maintaining sterile field, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic data to be utilized by the Cardiologist or other Physicians.

- -Position Status: Full-time
- -Work Schedule: Days 7:30am-4:00pm 80hr/wk
- Required: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, either hospital based or college Program.
- Required: Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) is required.
- Required : IEMA license or certification is required.
- Required: Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification
- Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross ACLS)
- Competent in components of radiography practice as appropriate.
- Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards.
- Must be emotionally mature and able to function under stress.
- Cath lab or comprehensive IR Lab experience is preferred

- The pay range for this position is $29.99 - 44.98 per hour.
