Responsibilities Mix and stage materials for compounding according to batch schedules. Correctly label production packaging and operate sit-down, stand-up forklifts, and electric hand trucks to move materials and finished products. Accurately weigh compound ingredients, raw materials, and finished products using mobile and floor scales as per batch records. Load, maintain, monitor, and clean blenders, mixers, and production weigh areas, including cleaning cycles, filter changes, and blade and tank cleaning between batches. Operate packaging equipment and palletizing systems, and ensure small ingredients are weighed and labeled accurately. Pull and transfer samples to the lab for quality testing. Utilize proper tools and collect data on the production area. Essential Skills 1-2 years of experience in compounding or batching in a manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and computer knowledge for batch sheet logs. HMI experience and proficiency in mixing, chemical operations, and machine operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with extrusion or injection operations. Familiarity with operating ribbon blending machinery. Work Environment This role operates on a shift schedule: 2nd shift from 2:45 pm to 11:00 pm, and 3rd shift from 10:45 pm to 7:00 am, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime on weekends. Initial training is conducted on the day shift for approximately two weeks. Non-temperature-controlled staging and compounding areas. The facility can be hot in summer and around 60 degrees in winter, with fans and portable air blowers for cooling. The dress code requires the removal of all jewelry, tying back long hair, wearing steel-toed shoes, long pants or jeans, and appropriate hearing and eye protection. Certain areas necessitate the use of N95 face masks during specific tasks. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
