Central Fill Pharmacy Technician
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Central Fill Pharmacy Technician to join our high-volume automated pharmacy refill center in West Sacramento. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate preparation, packaging, and distribution of medications in a fast-paced production environment. Schedule Options
Full-Time: Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM
10:00 PM Part-Time: Flexible shifts up to 24 hours per week, within the same time window Key Responsibilities
Accurately fill prescription vials with tablets and capsules, verifying medication size and strength Replenish automated dispensing cells using handheld scanners, ensuring proper lot and expiration tracking Conduct weekly cycle counts, audit inventory, and assist in resolving discrepancies Prepare cold chain and specialty prescriptions with strict adherence to handling protocols Pack and ship prescriptions in compliance with HIPAA regulations and pharmacy standards Troubleshoot and escalate operational issues to management as needed Perform cleaning and maintenance of automated dispensing equipment, including calibration and part replacement Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in a pharmacy retail or customer service setting High School Diploma or equivalent Active California Pharmacy Technician License Familiarity with HIPAA regulations PTCB National Certification preferred Work Environment
Onsite role in a large-scale pharmacy/warehouse production facility Occasional exposure to refrigerated environments and hazardous medications Physical requirements include: Standing/walking for up to 8 hours Lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs Climbing step ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching Continuous use of computer and visual acuity for detailed tasks Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
