Laboratory Technician
We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Laboratory Technician in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. Job Responsibilities
The principal duties of the Laboratory Technician include: Provide physical and chemical analysis and testing services using sophisticated laboratory instruments and equipment for all WE business units Provide technical support to lab customers in areas of expertise Maintain and operate instruments and equipment in accordance with industry standards and state and federal environmental regulations Minimum Qualification
Applicant must have a two-year associate degree in Chemical Technology or equivalent. In lieu of the two-year associate degree in Chemical Technology, the applicant must have completed two years of accredited post-high school education with a minimum of four full semester courses in the field of chemistry, including a minimum of one full semester course that includes hands-on laboratory work. Technician Selection System (TECH)-Technician level:
Ability to use numerical information presented in drawings, prints, and graphs to solve arithmetic problems, ability to use symbols and codes to locate objects on a map, comprehension of pictured mechanical principles, and the ability to read, apply rules and make decisions based upon written information.
