We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Power Generation Mechanical Engineering Intern in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This role will begin in May/June of 2026 and will be full-time through the summer. The starting hourly rate for this position is $22.00 with paid company holidays. We employ students for summer and year-round opportunities to help design creative cost effective systems and equipment that keep the energy flowing to our customers in a safe and reliable manner. WEC Energy Group offers a variety of engineering opportunities for students seeking hands-on experience that are currently enrolled in a four-year degree program. Students work with experienced members of these functional teams. Project work may include assignments in boiler performance, turbine performance, equipment maintenance planning, and inspection of piping systems. Job Responsibilities

Support staff on projects while developing skills, technical expertise, interpersonal and communication skills, and project management skills. Build working knowledge within their field through exposure to a variety of daily tasks, and projects. Responsibilities may include supporting boiler and turbine performance testing and analysis, assisting with maintenance planning and execution for major equipment, and performing inspections of piping systems and pipe hangers to ensure reliability. Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or HSE Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and other related Engineering majors with a graduation date after June 2026. Minimum GPA of 2.8 Preferred Qualifications

Completion of coursework in thermodynamics, heat transfer, or fluid mechanics. Familiarity with power generation equipment such as boilers, pumps, and piping systems Strong analytical and problem solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
