The Assistant/Associate Director of Recruitment, under the direction of the AVP of Enrollment Management, leads recruitment initiatives across assigned territories to meet institutional enrollment goals. This role develops, implements, and evaluates recruitment strategies, manages professional staff, and leverages advanced technologies such as CollegeVine (AI recruitment platform) and TargetX (CRM) to maximize prospective student engagement and conversion. The position fosters relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other partners to strengthen TAMUCC's presence across Texas and beyond. Functional Area 1: Strategic Recruitment Leadership

Percent Effort: 40% Lead development and execution of short- and long-term recruitment strategies for freshman and transfer populations, aligned with institutional enrollment goals. Manage recruitment territories in Texas, ensuring effective coverage and presence at key events including TACRO college fairs and community outreach initiatives. Integrate CollegeVine AI engagement and TargetX CRM workflows into recruitment campaigns, ensuring data-driven follow-up and personalized communication. Analyze market trends, enrollment funnel metrics, and competitor activity to adjust strategies proactively. Functional Area 2: Staff Supervision & Professional Development

Percent Effort: 25% Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of professional recruiters, including territory-based staff in the Coastal Bend, Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. Develop and implement professional development plans to enhance recruitment, communication, and data analysis skills. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Coordinate regular team meetings to review progress toward goals, share best practices, and address challenges. Functional Area 3: Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships

Percent Effort: 20% Cultivate and maintain relationships with high school counselors, community college advisors, alumni, and other stakeholders to enhance recruitment pipelines. Partner with academic departments, student services, and campus organizations to coordinate recruitment messaging and campus visit experiences. Represent TAMUCC at internal and external events, delivering dynamic presentations to various audiences. Functional Area 4: Recruitment Technology & Communication Flow Management

Percent Effort: 15% Oversee creation and management of communication flows to prospective students and families using TargetX CRM, ensuring timely and relevant outreach. Monitor CollegeVine engagement analytics to refine messaging and student targeting. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to ensure recruitment materials align with brand and institutional goals. Qualifications

Assistant Director (Assistant Director, Recruitment) Bachelor's degree in an applicable field Six (6) years of related experience Additional education may be considered for substitution: Master's degree and four (4) years of related experience, OR Doctoral degree and two (2) years of related experience Associate Director (Associate Director P14) Bachelor's degree in an applicable field Eight (8) years of related experience Additional education may be considered for substitution: Master's degree and six (6) years of related experience, OR Doctoral degree and four (4) years of related experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of recruitment strategies, market analysis, and CRM systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (TargetX experience preferred). Strong presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Ability to travel extensively and work evenings/weekends as needed. Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in higher education administration, business, marketing, or related field. Progressively responsible experience in higher education recruitment, admissions, or enrollment management, including supervisory experience. Experience with AI-driven recruitment platforms (e.g., CollegeVine). Bilingual in English and Spanish. Familiarity with Texas education systems and established recruitment networks. Salary is commensurate upon education and/or education Note: This position has the possibility to be hybrid (partially remote).
