Accounting Specialist Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join a team on a contract basis in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing operations. Ideal candidates will bring strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy in supporting the organization's accounting needs. Responsibilities: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. Oversee billing operations to guarantee proper invoicing and prompt collection. Perform account reconciliation to maintain financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Assist in maintaining general ledger entries and financial records. Collaborate with internal teams to support financial reporting and compliance efforts. Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Monitor and adhere to company policies and procedures in all accounting tasks. Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency within accounting operations. *Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment. Requirements: Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing functions. Strong proficiency in account reconciliation and financial data analysis. Familiarity with accounting software and tools. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
