Preferred location is Milwaukee (Hybrid), will consider remote candidates. Join our dynamic team as a Senior Category Manager! This role offers a unique opportunity to step into a position of influence, providing global category leadership. As a key player in our supply chain organization, you will collaborate with regional category teams, divisional product leaders, and operations to implement strategies that not only drive value but also promote sustainability in our supply chain. Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a multi-year category strategy that delivers year-over-year value to the organization. Develop a multi-year purchase category strategy to deliver year-over-year cost savings, consolidate suppliers, reduce risk, and improve trade working capital. Manages complex multi-year supplier relationships to enable our front-end portfolio strategies. Maintains ownership and communication for all strategic sourcing activities for assigned commodities and services to cross-functional teams. Conducts and leads brainstorming sessions at facilities with cross-functional teams to identify strategic opportunities and deployment priorities on cost-saving initiatives. Provides oversight to sourcing/project managers on the deployment of projects with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with global and regional sourcing teams to identify, screen, and qualify strategic suppliers. Works with global facilities to create regional and global material cost savings funnels that align with commercial strategies and financial targets. Drives spend analysis, including countermeasures for projects that deviate from plan and make decisions to address issues. Proactively assesses internal and external process improvements, influences effective change, and drive innovation and continuous improvements. Collaborates with global business units on the preparation of Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotations (RFQ's) and leads the screening and supplier selection process. Negotiate and draft supplier contracts of sale, including payment terms, deliveries, price, freight terms, currency exchange, raw material steel fluctuation, inventory levels. Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future (industry trends in pricing and availability that will impact the business) material availability, and prepares market analysis reports. Responsible for timely reporting on key metrics and presenting Strategic Sourcing plans, activities, and progress. Professional Experience/Qualifications: BA or BS degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management, Business or related field OR equivalent experience. 5-10 years' experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment with experience in strategic Procurement/Supply Chain, or similar position. Proven success of strategically working with suppliers. Experience sourcing in best value low-cost regions. Experience working with multiple locations globally. Proven success in change management. Ownership of direct material categories with general knowledge of other categories such as steel, resin, forgings, and stampings are a plus. Proven success in a matrix-driven organization. Excellent working knowledge of industrial markets, suppliers, and company requirements. Domestic and international travel requirements up to 25%. The targeted base salary for the role is $115,000-$140,000 dependent on experience.
