Job Description The Procurement Senior Category Manager for Direct Materials is responsible for developing and executing complex and global procurement strategies to provide business-building innovation, assurance of supply, superior cost management, and uncompromising stewardship. This role involves managing a portfolio of direct materials, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and service. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement strategies for direct materials to achieve business objectives. Manage Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and deliver cost savings through commercial and technical project management. Establish and maintain effective supplier relationships with strategic suppliers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for procurement initiatives. Lead negotiations and manage contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions. Monitor market trends and conduct market intelligence to identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on direct materials. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba). Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Education High School Diploma with equivalent years of experience Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Finance, Operations/Business Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred Pay Range: $82,000 - $125,000 The salary range for this position is determined by considering a variety of factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and the location of the position.
