Bodily Injury Defense Attorney

We are seeking a full-time Bodily Injury Defense Attorney to join our team on-site in the Miami–Fort Lauderdale area. The attorney will be responsible for handling bodily injury defense cases—primarily focused on trucking and transportation matters—from inception through resolution. Responsibilities include providing legal advice, conducting discovery and depositions, attending mediations, and negotiating settlements. The listed salary range is a general guideline. Compensation will ultimately be commensurate with experience, and highly qualified candidates with significant litigation backgrounds may be considered above the posted range. - Independently manage a caseload of bodily injury defense matters - Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal analysis - Take and defend depositions, including those of plaintiffs and medical providers - Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences - Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal correspondence - Review and analyze medical records, draft medical chronologies, and summarize treatment to support case evaluation and litigation strategy - Collaborate closely with clients, adjusters, and other attorneys in the firm Salary + Benefits Salary Range: $125,000+ annually, commensurate with experience $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Performance-based bonus opportunities and end of year bonus potential Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with employer matching Paid time off and paid holidays Continuing legal education (CLE) support Collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth and advancement
