Manager The Project Manager is a vital role within the management team. This role is responsible for accurate proposals for the Bid/Build division and performs the role of project manager for Bid/Build work. This role works directly with the clients, estimator, and production manager and reports directly to the Director of Operations. Report Location:
Annapolis, Maryland Compensation range:
$50,000 to $70,000, based on experience Detailed Overview of Responsibilities: Customer Service: Provide A High Level of Business Professionalism, Courtesy and Mindfulness Respond to Phone Calls and Other Communications in A Timely Manner Actively Build Trusting Relationships with Clients, Serve as the Primary Contact for the Client & Sub-Contractors Lead or Facilitate the Resolution of Client Issues or Concerns in A Timely Manner Project Management: Work with The LC Division Manager to Schedule the Job Communicate Effectively with the Client Throughout the Bidding/Installation Process Conduct Pre-Construction Meetings with Production and Review Job Timeline Review the Job Package, Estimate, and Load Sheet with The Designer/Estimator Supply the Purchaser with a Budget of All Items Required for The Job and The Timeline Perform a Site Visit and Review Job in Direction of Completion and Discuss Each Work Area for Labor Budget with Production and Crew Leader Perform Site Inspections to Review Job Production and Perform Quality Control Track Materials on Site to Ensure There Isnt A Shortage Schedule & Manage Sub-Contractors Approve All Payments to Sub-Contractors Manage Job Change Orders and Communicate with Owner, Architect, Builder, and All Sub-Contractors Perform a Final Walk Through with Builder, Architect, and/or Owner Provide Production with Punch List When Applicable Provide Billing Details to A/R for Invoicing Submit and Review Invoice with Client Closely Manage the Labor Budget for The Division; Paying Strict Attention to Overtime Hours Purchasing, Deliveries & Material Tracking: Purchase Materials Not Obtained by the Purchase Manager Schedule and Coordinate Deliveries or Pick-Ups for Job Materials and Supplies Procure and Coordinate the Return of Any Rental Equipment, Including Jobsite Sanitation Properly Job Cost and Provide Any Invoices/Purchase Orders to The Controller Oversee the Loading and Unloading of Materials to And from Jobsites Report Any Materials Brought Back to The Shop To the Purchaser Track All Inventory Items Used on Jobsites Assist the Purchasing Manager with Creating the Division Budget for Equipment and Machinery, and Manage Purchasing Accordingly Team Member Development & Safety: Train and Mentor Landscape/ Construction Staff Ensure Employees Are Provided with And Use Appropriate PPE And Uniforms Key Success Behaviors and Skills: Aligned with Walnut Hills Values of Teamwork & Relationships, Professionalism & Integrity, Image, Attention to Quality & Detail Strict attention to detail in technical specifications and written communication. Performance driven, fast paced, and energetic Superior communication and interpersonal skills with staff and customers Strong in math and with a complete understanding of geometry. Highly alert, has a structured thought process, and demonstrates problem-solving skills. Exceptional organizational, time management, and analytical skills Ability to lay out plans in the field if necessary Must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment & be proactive in daily tasks Proficient with computers, very technology savvy Performs and demands excellence in the quality of work. Service and teamwork-focused, driven to improve efficiencies Innovative and focused on learning and self-improvement Flexible and able to multitask and complete tasks with minimal or no supervision Ideal Candidates will have Minimum Qualifications and Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in the green industry or Three Years Experience as An Estimator, Project Manager, or Related Position in The Green Industry Thorough Understanding of Construction Plans Provided by Architects and Landscape Designers Proficiency in The Following Software/Technology: CAD skills, AutoCAD, Vector Works, Blue Beam, etc, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), LMN, Procore Microsoft Outlook & Outlook Calendar Sound like you?
