About Us:
We're growing and looking for talented people to join American Underground Supply! As a leading supplier of pipe, valves, and fittings, we have proudly served the waterworks industry since 2011, providing utility contractors and municipalities with the essential materials to build and maintain America's waterworks infrastructure.
We're looking for a detail-oriented and driven Project Manager/Estimator to oversee projects from bid to completion, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating: Review plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate material cost estimates. Solicit and evaluate vendor quotes. Perform quantity take-offs and generate bid proposals. Assist in value engineering to provide cost-effective alternatives when needed. Collaborate with sales, purchasing, management, and operations teams to ensure alignment of project scope. Project Management:
Serve as lead customer contact for all projects quoted. Work with customers to understand material needs and effectively manage project timeline. Work with purchasing to ensure materials are procured to meet project timeline. Actively manage back orders and schedule timely deliveries. Maintain regular communication with customers through face-to-face meetings, verbal conversations and email. Lead project meetings with internal teams and clients. Ensure compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate documentation, including contracts, invoices, and reports. Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). 3-5 years of experience in estimating and project management, preferably in distribution. Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and practices. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, Excel). Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Benefits:
