Human Resource Business Lead
Location: Chicago, IL
Pay: $43.48/hour
Duration 4 months
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Role Summary
As the
Human Resource Business Lead , you’ll support the local execution of HR initiatives that enhance retention, engagement, performance, and communication within the organization. This role bridges strategic planning and day-to-day HR operations in a manufacturing/bakery setting. Key Responsibilities
Lead local HR efforts to reduce turnover, absenteeism, and improve team engagement
Implement and support HR-related activities in business projects
Partner with Education & Training to roll out capability-building programs
Coordinate team member recognition, events, and celebrations
Manage engagement survey planning and follow-up actions
Analyze trends and data to address morale and retention challenges
Develop and deploy a High Performance Organization (HPO) strategy
Train teams on HPO principles and collaborative practices
Drive internal communication plans (digital boards, TVs, comms spots)
Qualifications & Skills
HR certification required (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
Strong communication and change management skills
Analytical mindset; able to derive insights from data
Fluent in English
Advanced PowerPoint skills
Experience in manufacturing or plant environments preferred
