Senior Director, APEC Employee Relations and HR Governance
DHL EXPRESS (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD., West Islip, New York, United States
Role purpose:
Provide guidance and support and develop expertise in all Countries within APEC on
HR Governance ensuring compliance and quality within HR teams; and
Employee Relations including Labor Relations and Human Rights to promote employee compliance and good employee engagement.
Key tasks:
1. General
Inform and provide advisory and guidance to Country HR on all Global and Regional policies and guidelines pertaining to Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Human Rights and other related matters.
Drive the short-term and medium-term Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Human Rights and other related strategies in regional context at scale with key internal partners and Country HR.
Implement and/or support Corporate, Global and Regional initatives related to Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Human Rights and other related matters.
2. Labor Relations
Monitor Labor Relations situation in countries and provide guidance to Country HR on any labor threats and risks.
Support Labor Relations topics.
Keep updated on relevant political and Labor Relations development and trends in the region.
Provide updates on negotiations with labor unions and escalate labor threats and risks to Global ER as needed.
Review and monitor reporting of Labor Relations KPIs in CREST and other applicable systems.
3. Employee Relations
Advise and train Country HR in practices and strategies for managing Employee Relations and Human Rights topics including but not limited to BGER, Anti Discrimination Training.
Guide Country HR in mitigating and solving ER disputes.
Review and conduct pre-assessment of all EOS Open Comments and work with Countries to initiate and complete investigation of all valid potential incidents related to Human Rights, Compliance and HR.
4. Human Rights
Conduct, facilitate and/or provide support on Human Rights Reviews in countries to ensure compliance with DHL Group's internal and external Employee Relations and Human Rights standards.This includes providing guidance and support on the development of action plans to address any findings and monitor and follow up of the implementation of actions.
Overall responsible for management of reports and cases concerning Human Rights and Human Resources (including Compliance before 01 Feb 2024). Lead in the pre-assessment to determine if an incident or report should be converted to a case following the Corporate Compliance and Global ER guidelines.
Provides guidance to the Case Manager and Investigators in fulfilling their roles to ensure fairness and timeliness in accordance to the step-by-step procedures prescribed by Global Compliance and ER.
Escalate all reports concerning Human Rights and qualifying Global Compliance Panel (GCP) intervention to Global ER.
Works with Compliance functions to implement the Incident Management process in Countries. Provides advise to Compliance and Countries to ensure due process is followed and fair and approapriate disciplinary actions are identified and implemented.
5. HR Governance (Compliance)
Liaise and collaborate with the DHL Express Compliance function on Compliance related to Employee Relations and Human Rights topics.
Inform and provide advisory and guidance to Country HR on HR Compliance topics (Employee Screening, Conflict of Interest, Mandatory Training, etc.) based on Global policies and guidelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, HR or related studies
At least 10 years of experience in the area of Employee Relations/Labor Relations
Profound knowledge in Human Rights
Experience in handling/conducting audits and implementing corrective action plans
