Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Director of Corporate Development to lead end-to-end M&A execution across the West Coast of the United States. This individual will play a critical role in driving the company's inorganic growth strategy, from sourcing and evaluating acquisition opportunities to managing due diligence, deal execution, and post-close integration support. This is a high-visibility role, working closely with executive leadership to support the full M&A lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead M&A Transactions: Manage all aspects of the acquisition process (A to Z), including target sourcing, financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, and integration planning.
Deal Sourcing: Proactively identify and cultivate relationships with potential targets, investment bankers, brokers, and other intermediaries, particularly within the Western U.S. market.
Execution: Drive deal timelines and processes, managing cross-functional teams including legal, finance, operations, and external advisors.
Strategic Analysis: Evaluate strategic fit, synergies, and ROI of potential acquisitions, preparing investment memos and presentations for internal stakeholders and board-level approval.
- Market Intelligence: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitor landscapes, and emerging opportunities within the infrastructure and construction services space.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the VP of Corporate Development, CFO, CEO, and Private Equity sponsors to ensure alignment on acquisition strategy and priorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required. MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum of 5+ years of buy-side M&A experience , including full deal cycle responsibility and leadership on multiple closed transactions
- Strong financial modeling , valuation, and due diligence skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex deals with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Experience in infrastructure, industrial services, or construction industries is strongly preferred but not required
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, organization, and follow-through
- Willingness to travel regularly to identify, evaluate, and execute West Coast deals.
