Overview

Our client, a fast-growing SaaS company, is seeking a Senior FP&A Manager to serve as the strategic finance lead for one or more business units. This highly visible role functions as the finance partner for senior leadership-working closely with product, strategy, and go-to-market teams to drive sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making.

The position will own financial strategy, long-range planning, and performance analysis for its assigned verticals, playing a critical role in shaping business direction through data-driven insights. While initially structured as an individual contributor role, this opportunity is designed to grow into people leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary finance partner for assigned vertical(s), leading forecasting, planning, reporting, and full P&L management. Provide variance analysis, identify trends, and deliver strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Develop a deep understanding of product economics and key business drivers; partner closely with product, GTM, and G&A leaders to align initiatives with financial objectives.
  • Build advanced financial models to support new offerings, pricing strategies, investment prioritization, and market expansion.
  • Own and improve SaaS performance metrics (e.g., Magic Number, MER, CAC, LTV, Time to Value) while working with revenue leadership to optimize pricing and go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead customer-level and cohort analytics, business reviews, and executive presentations, providing actionable insights to drive growth.
  • Advance financial systems and planning infrastructure, including long-range forecasting models and self-service reporting (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Adaptive Insights, Excel).
  • Prepare board- and investor-ready materials highlighting performance, strategy, and priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in SaaS or technology-driven environments.
  • Proven success influencing executives and driving cross-functional alignment.
  • Expertise in FP&A best practices, advanced financial modeling, and operational KPI analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Tableau; experience with ERP/EPM tools (NetSuite, Adaptive Insights).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Self-directed, with outstanding prioritization, executive communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to own processes, improve infrastructure, and scale financial operations.
