Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for a System Debug Engineer to support customer and internal departments in resolving server system issues. You will collaborate with other teams to provide solutions and improve product quality during the early DVT/PVT stages. Familiarity with PCBA debugging is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose root causes of server system failures and isolate components/failure nodes.
  2. Interface with R&D, System teams, and customer support to enhance product quality during early DVT/PVT stages.
  3. Develop and publish test reports; communicate findings to team members.
  4. Utilize software to improve testing techniques and analyze system failure data efficiently.
  5. Support product technology transfer and troubleshooting skills from PVT to MP stages.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience preferred.
  2. Proficient in Linux and Windows OS.
  3. Lab and debugging skills, including experience with test equipment such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes, soldering, and debugging.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills.
  5. Familiarity with Intel ITP/DCI, Intel CPU & Chipset architecture, or AMD CPU/GPU & Chipset architecture is a plus.

Salary Range:

$95,000 - $125,000

Salary depends on location, level, education, training, skills, experience, and internal comparisons. Benefits include a comprehensive package, with potential bonuses and equity awards.
