Estate and Tax Planning Attorney

A law firm seeks an accomplished Estate and Tax Planning Attorney with 20 years of experience in Denver, Colorado. This role involves advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on complex estate and tax planning matters, including wealth transfer strategies, trust structures, and succession planning. The attorney will manage sophisticated client portfolios, design customized plans, and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.

Duties

• Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, and charitable giving.
• Develop and implement tax-efficient wealth transfer and succession plans.
• Prepare and review complex estate planning documents and related agreements.
• Provide counsel on probate administration and trust management.
• Advise on federal and state tax implications for individuals, estates, and trusts.
• Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to meet client objectives.
• Represent clients in tax-related matters before the IRS and state tax authorities when necessary.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to keep client plans compliant and current.

Requirements

• 20 years of experience in estate and tax planning law.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws affecting estates, trusts, and gifts.
• Proven track record in managing sophisticated client matters and high-value portfolios.
• Strong client relationship management skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in Colorado and in good standing.
• LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not required.
