POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the Senior Director of Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) will serve as the enterprise leader for Bridgespan’s core technology infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable technology services for the organization. Reporting to the Vice President of Technology, this role will define and execute the I&O strategy, oversee daily operations, and lead the transition away from Bridgespan’s current shared services model with its founding company—building a future-state infrastructure and operations organization from the ground up.

  • Oversee the organizational decoupling from the founding company’s IT infrastructure and establish a new global I&O team and help desk function.

Technology Operations

  • Ensure reliable, secure delivery of core services including network, endpoint, collaboration, and identity platforms.
  • Maintain operational excellence through service-level adherence and proactive issue resolution.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a multidisciplinary team across I&O domains.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and refine ITIL-aligned processes (incident, problem, change management).
  • Drive automation and process optimization to improve service efficiency and user satisfaction.

Security and Compliance:

  • Partner with the Security team to ensure compliance, risk management, and implementation of best-practice control.

Vendor and Budget Management:

  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, SLAs, and manage the I&O budget to ensure cost-effective service delivery.

Collaboration and Integration:

  • Partner with Product, Data, Engineering, and Platform teams to align I&O with enterprise technology strategies.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives requiring infrastructure expertise

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years in IT infrastructure and operations leadership, including at least 7 years in senior strategic roles.
  • Proven track record leading modernization and transformation initiatives at enterprise scale.

  • Deep knowledge of ITSM frameworks, service desk operations, and incident/problem resolution.
  • Strong vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget oversight experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change, build consensus, and inspire high-performing teams
