Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our accounting team within the HVAC industry . This role is ideal for someone eager to build their accounting career while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. You'll assist with financial tasks related to service contracts, parts inventory, job costing, and other HVAC-specific financial operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing accounts payable/receivable including vendor invoices, service billings, and customer payments
• Record daily financial transactions related to HVAC service calls, equipment sales, and installation projects
• Support job costing by tracking labor, material, and overhead expenses for individual HVAC projects
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with monthly and year-end closings
• Help maintain accurate inventory records for HVAC parts and equipment
• Prepare daily bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow tracking
• Work closely with service managers and technicians to ensure accurate billing and time tracking
• Organize and maintain financial records and documentation
• Assist in preparing financial reports and analysis as requested for management
  

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of accounting experience (experience in construction, field service, or HVAC a plus)
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and job costing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems used in construction/HVAC)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the HVAC, construction, or field service industry
• Familiarity with service management software (e.g., ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, or similar)
• Knowledge of sales tax, payroll, and equipment leasing practices in the HVAC space
