Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to oversee and manage the full-cycle accounts payable process. This in-office role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in a high-volume setting. Responsibilities include:

Processing and reviewing a high volume of invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and proper account coding

Managing vendor payments, including check runs, ACH, and wire transfers, while ensuring payment terms are met

Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner

Serving as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and maintaining positive working relationships

Assisting with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting

Collaborating with internal departments to ensure proper invoice documentation and expense allocation

Identifying and implementing process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy

Ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to accounts payable

Supporting audits by providing requested documentation and responding to inquiries

Assisting with onboarding and training of new AP team members as needed

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable

Proficiency in ERP/accounting software systems; experience with systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is a plus

Strong understanding of GAAP as it relates to accounts payable

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs

Associate or bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required based on experience
