Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Expert Software Architect within our team NYS Information Technology Services. This is a 30 month contract, hybrid (negotiable) in Albany, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
This individual will be expected to participate in the following activities: •Implementing Integrated Justice Portal standards related to database development •Utilize uses cases, business requirements documents, and flow diagrams to design complex relational databases •Follow all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - analysis, design, testing, implementation, maintenance •Follow and contribute to agency standards and utilize industry best practices •Develop queries and stored procedures for data extraction, using SQL against databases; write complex efficient SQL •Perform ongoing support for production applications - including system monitoring, processing, user support, and performance tuning •Create, maintain, and deploy batch processes to support Gun Safety business processes •Research emerging technologies to improve current processes •Create data dictionaries and business glossaries .
Qualifications:
84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Preferred Qualifications:
84 months experience creating Views, Triggers, stored procedures, functions, and writing SQL in Oracle (12c or higher)
84 months of experience using a data modeling tools such as ERWIN to create physical and logical data models, reverse engineer existing databases, and compare existing databases in Oracle (12c or higher)
84 months of experience developing complex ETL processes using shell scripts (Korn, Bash, and Power Shell), SQL scripts, and PL/SQL.
84 months of experience performing data analysis and creating reports for customers
84 months of experience optimizing SQL queries and debugging PL/SQL objects (packages, functions, and procedures)
60 months of experience developing Korn shell and bash shell scripts in a Linux environment.
The wage range for this role reflects the wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the hourly range is $ 60 .00 - $ 65 .00.
