Medical Technologist - OBGYN

Position DescriptionThis position is responsible for performing chemical, microscopic, serologic, hematologic, immunohematologic, parasitic and bacteriologic tests to provide data for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease. Persons in this position provide support to clinical laboratories. Work is performed under general supervision, within established methods and procedures. Work is performed under general supervision. Much of the work is standardized, although the work is governed generally by broad instructions or objectives. Employees in this class generally have no delegated supervisory responsibilities; may instruct or train other personnel in specific techniques, etc. Employees in this class may be exposed to infectious materials (feces, body fluid, etc.); must work with automated machinery and/or equipment which require caution for safety.Major/Essential FunctionsMust meet all CLIA standards for clinical laboratory personnel. Must meet College of American Pathology Standards.Pay StatementCompensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. Registered as a Medical Technologist (MT) ASCP.
