What You ll Do:
Provide expert care to critically ill newborns in a 60-bed regional Level IV NICU and a 6-bed Level II NICU
Lead or support NICU operations, driving clinical excellence, quality improvement, and operational success
Manage advanced therapies including high-frequency ventilation , whole body cooling , and nitric oxide therapy
Collaborate closely with pediatric subspecialists, maternal-fetal medicine, and pediatric surgery teams
Participate in medical education with Virginia Tech School of Medicine students and residents
Engage in quality initiatives and research through the Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative
Provide clinical coverage including day shifts, weekends, and on-call duties as needed
Serve as a key leader in hospital committees and contribute to strategic planning

Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology (within 5 years of residency)
Virginia license or ability to obtain
Neonatal leadership experience required for Medical Director role
Clean malpractice Highly preferred
DEA license required prior to start
