Locums - Pathologist OpeningLocation: Indio, CaliforniaAssignment Dates: September 16-20, 2025Schedule: 8 hours/day (clinic hours) + call coverageCall Details:
  • Type: Beeper
  • Response Time: 30 minutes (for STEMI)
  • Frequency: Ideally 7-14 days per month
  • After-hours call: Rare
  • Weekend call: None
Licenses & Certifications Required:
  • Board Certification in Pathology - Required
  • Active California Medical License - Required
  • California Fluoroscopy License - Required
  • BLS - Required
  • Fellowship - Preferred, not required
Clinical Details:
  • Solo practice - grossing is required
  • Daily Case Volume: 10-15 cases
  • Case Mix: Predominantly small GI biopsies, GYN pathology, approx. 1 cancer case per week
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Trauma Level IV
  • Consulting pathologists available at sister hospital (45 minutes away with courier service)
  • CME opportunities via tumor boards and breast pre-treatment conferences
