Job Summary: Certerra is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Technician to perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials—including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. This role involves close coordination with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with project requirements and testing protocols. Responsibilities include collecting and transporting material samples with proper documentation to the laboratory, conducting testing and analysis, and preparing clear, accurate written and digital reports for daily submission to the Certerra Project Manager. Technicians are expected to maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas while adhering to strict safety standards. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in high-profile, complex projects while working with a skilled and dedicated technical team. Duties/Responsibilities: Perform testing, observation, and inspection as directed, following training and specified procedures. Provide clear, complete documentation of findings and results. Conduct basic data analysis to verify accuracy before communicating results to the Project Manager. Communicate project updates and findings to the Project Manager and other personnel as directed. Demonstrate proficiency in multiple areas of field or laboratory testing and inspection. Train lower-level technicians as needed. Lead the activities of other engineering technicians in the laboratory or on large-scale field projects. Maintain and calibrate assigned equipment. Operate company vehicles. Follow all safety rules, practices, and project-specific safety requirements; perform pre-task planning prior to work. Report any safety concerns promptly to management. Maintain quality standards across all assigned projects Education/Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience. Experience with laptop computer use and Microsoft Word and Excel Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history. Preferred Certification: Certifications in two or more of the following areas:

NICET Level II in Construction Materials Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils) or Geotechnical (Construction, Laboratory, Exploration, Generalist)
