Job Summary: Certerra is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform laboratory testing of construction materials, including soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. This role involves working closely with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractor representatives, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements. Responsibilities include transporting material samples with proper documentation to the laboratory, conducting testing and analysis, and preparing clear, accurate written and digital reports for daily submission to the Laboratory Manager. Additional duties include maintaining and cleaning equipment, vehicles, and work areas while adhering to strict safety standards. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex, high-profile projects while collaborating with an experienced and dedicated technical team. Duties/Responsibilities: Under close supervision of higher-level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observations duties. Provides clear documentation of findings and results. Communicates information to Laboratory Manager and discusses accuracy of data in preparation for submittal. Submits documentation and communicates results as directed by the Laboratory Manager Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments. Maintains assigned equipment. Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management. Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects. Education/Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 6 months experience required. Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history. Preferred Certification: Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire. Physical Requirements: Be able to lift materials and equipment up to 50 Ibs and ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking as needed during safety inspections and training sessions.
