This role involves MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel to create exhaust systems for various industries, including power generation, oil & gas, marine, locomotive, construction, and off-road markets. You will engage in tack welding and assembling exhausts, focusing on a mix of custom and production style MIG welding. Proficiency in reading blueprints and weld symbols is essential. Versatility in performing a variety of tasks within the shop is vital for your growth within the company. Perform MIG welding on mild and stainless steel. Assemble exhaust systems for different market sectors. Conduct tack welding as needed. Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately. Assist with fabrication tasks such as operating a brake press, shear, and roller. Participate in a weld test by building a product from a print. Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols. Experience with MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel. Versatility in performing various shop tasks. Experience with metal fabrication. Knowledge of operating equipment like brake presses and shears. Comfortable working 12 hours of overtime weekly. Welding experience from farm, school, or job settings.
