Material Handler in Nashville, TN
As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate measurement and movement of materials for cutting and shipment. The role requires precision and teamwork to handle materials using various equipment, ensuring that they meet client specifications. Responsibilities
Read and use a tape measure to measure metal and materials accurately. Receive orders from leads and supervisors to fulfill customer requests. Move materials to CNC operators for cutting according to client needs. Operate an overhead crane to load materials onto flatbed trucks for shipment. Work collaboratively as part of a team, often involving heavy lifting. Be flexible and adaptable to work in different areas as needed. Lift materials weighing 45-50 pounds frequently. Conduct quality checks on finished products. Essential Skills
Proficiency in reading and using a tape measure. Experience in material handling and overhead crane operation. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes. Ability to work safely as part of a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a warehouse, production, construction, or steel environment is a plus. Familiarity with rigging, unloading, warehouse inventory, order picking, packaging, and sheet metal handling. Previous experience with FL and crane operation is advantageous. Why Work Here?
