Job Title
The primary purpose of this position is to provide service and assistance to management in support of the 43rd Adjutant General Battalion. Incumbent coordinates with the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) to manifests soldiers, move groups to debarkation point, and transmit all data to the Transit Company and the Initial Receiving Branch at Fort Leonard Wood. Employee receives Passenger Standard Routing Order (feeder information from Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) and contacts the battalion to make changes or resolve problems in reported data. Conducts short notice travel arrangements for movement of individual/groups often involving scheduling and routing problems. Incumbent reviews travel orders and tickets to determine mode of travel authorized. Verifies legal entitlement for travel by reviewing MEPS orders, airline tickets, food vouchers, and ground transportation tickets to coordinate scheduling of busses to transport IMT soldiers to Fort Leonard Wood. Incumbent is responsible to amend/correct Passenger Standing Route Order constantly with changes due to delays or no shows to ensure the timely arrival of the IMT soldiers to prevent the loss of training seats. Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position performs duty at the St. Louis Missouri Airport. Shift work is required of this position. Normal tour of duty will be 1300 hours to 2200 hours Monday through Friday. Some overtime may be required. Duties require above average physical agility, such as regular and recurring periods of prolonged standing, bending, stretching, and lifting. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer Skills Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Transportation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
