Hybrid Logistics Network Engineer
This role is categorized as Hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren
GM Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business. This position will be responsible for leading and assisting on design and engineering projects related to GM's inbound material logistics network, both intercontinental & Domestic. Employee will be responsible for data analysis and project development, working with software tools to design an optimized logistics network and communicate results to stakeholders. The employee will work cross-functionally to develop and track projects with key stakeholders in GPSC, our Manufacturing Sites, and our LLP's. Responsibilities: Responsible for Logistics Network Engineering Projects for all Inbound Material, Intercontinental & Domestic Support Financial Analysis of Network Performance and Budgeting Efforts. Facilitate the implementation of strategic cost savings at our plants from network design efficiencies Work with GM's service provider (LLP, LSC) design and planning resources to define workload and activity Support Business cases for any logistics changes Global Alignment with Network Improvement and Cost Savings Support regional network capabilities in cooperating GMNA best practices Support adhoc projects and plant launches Support Procurement Activities like Material Global Ocean bid, ODC bids, LOC bids, etc. Work with Logistics Service providers to strategically analyze Network & Process Improvements Identify Best Practices and drive process improvements utilizing tools such as copilot Relocation: This job may be eligible for relocation benefits. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, related field, or equivalent work experience 5+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, manufacturing, logistics or product development Preferred: Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related advanced degree a plus Experience with Power BI GM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.
